Published by Suisei at 02/06/2023 à 15h45

Hi everyone!

I don't have given news fro a long time. I'm currently waiting for something special. I should be able to tell you about it in mid-June, and from then on I hope to be able to give you news more often.
I've also started a big code renovation project for SuiseiPark.

That said, I'm here to announce that this weekend I'll be exhibiting at the Vidau'Bulles comics convention in the Var departement (Southeastern France). I'll be one of 40 guest authors, including my great accomplice Marialexie.
As the icing on the cake, I made the illustration for this year's poster! :D

Well, I'm notify you a little late. I'm really busy right now. x)
In any case, don't hesitate to drop in and say hello if you're in the area. It's always a pleasure to talk to you. :D

Have a nice week-end and see you soon !

Signing at Comics Corner and win an original illustration !

Published by Suisei at 14/12/2019 à 20h45

Hi everyone !

I'm so overwhelmed these days that I forgot to tell you some things.

Book signing session at the Comics Corner

Tomorrow, Sunday, December 15, I will be signing at the Comics Corner, in Paris, with Marvin Traoré, Jean-Christophe Nollet and Lionel Calméjane, on the occasion of an afternoon dedicated to Star Wars to celebrate the final episode of the saga ! :D

I made a small poster especially for this event. :)

the session will start at 2:30 pm. On the page of Comics Corner it is announced that it should last until 7pm, but due to the strikes, I may not be able to stay until the end (the problem will probably be the same for the other artists).

As usual I will present you my comics already released, in particular Dragon Cat's to stay in the Star Wars theme as well as the original pages of the current projects including Tarkhan. :)

Win an original illustration

In addition, to celebrate the end of the new Star Wars trilogy, I offer you a little game to win the originals of my poster!

To participate, it's simple, just play my game (coded with my little hands) Star Wars - Space Battle here: https://www.suiseipark.com/StarWars-SpaceBattle/

The one who make the highest score between today and January 15, 2020 included will win the prize! :D

So get on your keyboards and jump into your X-Wing!

Good night and see you tomorrow at Comics Corner! :D

Normandiebulle 2019 and progress of Tarkhan

Published by Suisei at 19/09/2019 à 15h45

Normandiebulle 2019

Good morning, everyone!

Today, I come to announce that I will be present for the next festival Normandiebulle with a nice bunch of author and my partner Marialexie ! :D

The festival will take place on 28 and 29 September in Darnétal.
All the practical informations are available on this page of the Normandiebulle website.

As usual, I will present you my comics, my originals iilustrations, and various prints with pretty signing sketches. :D
I'm not sure I have enough space to install the video game this year. I'll see how I can handle it on the spot.

Progress of the Tarkhan Skullkiller comic book

The inking of the comic book pages Tarkhan Skullkiller is progressing at a good pace.
70% of the pages are inked and there are still 20 pages to be done.
I took care to update the progress bars on the Ulule page.

Unfortunately, despite the sleepless nights and very long working days, we will not be able to offer you the comic book during Normandiebulle.
The comic pages will be finished, I will have the originals of the pages on my stand, but the printer will not be able to have the comics delivered on time.

On the one hand, it's not a big deal because no contributor who has already financed the comic book has announced that they want to get their reward at the festival, on the other hand it's quite frustrating because it's only a few days away and we would have liked to proudly expose the finished comic book. (That'll teach me to want to break productivity records.)

In any case, we are at the end of the tunnel and the sending of rewards can start during the first half of October.

Inktober 2019 ?

Yes! October is coming soon!

I must confess that for this one, I'm going to pass. After producing a little over 100 pages of comics (spread over 3 different projects) in the space of a summer, my body began to be very tired and deserved a short break. x)

I think I can be satisfied that I have achieved this level of productivity by not having to commit almost any deviations from the usual quality of my work.
For that, I thank Alberto Varanda for everything he taught me last spring and Beaux-Arts & Entertainment which allowed this evening class. All these new methods and tips and tricks have increased my effectiveness tenfold. :D

I'm going to have to take the time to publish all this on my Tipeee and Patreon pages that I had to put a little aside until I finished all these comics.

Now I get back to my inking work and wish you a nice day.
See you soon!

Japan Expo 2019 already over!

Published by Suisei at 06/07/2019 à 15h45

Hi everyone!

Today, I am writing this news to announce that Japan Expo 2019 is already over for me.
And yes, I definitely tidied up my booth last evening (Friday).

I would like to thank Copic France for recruiting me for Thursday to do drawing demonstration with Copic alcohol pens. It's always a very nice experience and it allowed me to finalize the reimbursement of my own booth as well as to meet Japanese Copic representatives. :D
I also thank the few irreducible faithful readers who came to the Fantaisisterie booth, appreciating and buying a small piece of my art. It's always nice to know that you can make people dream a little and have a good time with your drawings and stories. =)

Unfortunately, there are fewer and fewer curious people at Japan Expo, and yesterday we spent most of the day twiddling our thumbs in the heat.
So, the revenue was much too low compared to the efforts made and I thought it was not worth staying and that it would be better if I spent my time on the Tarkhan comic book that you supported.

So I tidied up my booth and left to never set foot again in this 2019 JE.

Understand that when your work is recognized by professionals, but it is despised as if it were kid work in geek conventions (I'm sure my old kid Dragon Ball fanarts from 20 years ago would sell better than my original pro work in these conventions) and that next door you sell 5 to 10 times more in half the time and with 100 times fewer visitors in comic conventions, you quickly understood where to put your eggs and where not.

I also think that the visitors of geek conventions change over the years. I sold more comics and was asked for more commissions 3 years ago when my work was less visible, badly highlighted on a quarter of a booth.

Therefore, I definitely decide not to take a booth at Japan Expo or any other geek conventions unless invited and paid for and I will focus only on comic book conventions.
If you really like my work, I have no doubt that you will come and visit me in these conventions or that you will order via my online shop. ^^

In the meantime, the Fantaisisterie booth is still there, it's not empty, my friend Steven Style is still there and has his manga Section 9 to offer you.
So if you are at the JE this weekend, don't hesitate to come and see him and support him! :)

Have a nice weekend and see you soon!

Japan Expo 2019

Published by Suisei at 26/06/2019 à 15h45

Hi everyone!

Time flies! Very, very, very quickly!

I'm making you a flash news between 2 comic pages to announce that I will be at Japan Expo with my friend Steven Style. You can still support his comic book on Ulule.

This time, I will not be on the usual stand on Thursday.
Indeed, for the first day of the JE, I will be demonstrating art equipment on the Copic France stand (D186 hall 5).
During the rest of the festival, I will be on our stand, La Fantaisisterie (C213 hall 5).

Everything is indicated in the plan.

I should have some new content to present to you, but as I'm drowning in work, I'll tell you about it later. :p

In the meantime, I'll get back to my boards and wish you a nice day despite the heat.

See you soon!

Apérotak on Youtube and Nos Jeux sur Marne

Published by Suisei at 28/05/2019 à 15h45

Apérotak on Radio Animes

Hi everybody!

Last Thursday we were talking live about our comic book Tarkhan Skullkiller in the show Apérotak on Radio-Animes.

Did you miss it?

No problem!
The video is now available on Youtube! =D
You can now watch the video whenever you want.

Among other news about manga, comics and video games, we talk about the genesis of the project and how we work, always in a good-natured mood.

About Nos Jeux sur Marne

Last Sunday Suisei was at the convention Nos Jeux sur Marne in Nogent-sur-Marne in the charming Baltard pavilion.

We would like to thank our friends from the WIP Agency who have made this possible and who faithfully share our Ulule campaign. =D

On this occasion, Suisei participated in the animation of a Win, Lose or Draw session about mangas during which visitors can win prizes.
A short (the players were really strong!) and very funny experience! =D

That's all for today.
We remind you that the Ulule campaign is still going on and you can pre-order our comic book Tarkhan Skullkiller or simply make it known to others.

Have a nice day and see you soon!
